Well, Pennsic is over. Alas and woe! There’s been a lot going on in my life, so I’m hoping that making an entire post dedicated to my Garb and what needs fixing/alterations will be helpful (but who knows!) I’m also going to be making a Post Pennsic Fabric recap, and Saree recap.
I’m doing this while washing and folding everything to be put away, so I can make sure everything is as it should be. There are a couple pieces that I didn’t bring to Pennsic, but we’ll ignore them. My hope is that this helps me keep track of what I have, and will give me a better idea of what I *need*. I’m trying to create a bit of a capsule wardrobe for SCA, thinking that if most of my under and over dresses are complementary, I won’t end up wearing the same two outfits…. every… single…. event… (I’m looking at you Bhakail Yule outfit!)

Blue Apron Dress- Need to shorten the straps, and reinforce the seams. The linen has started to come apart at the seams, she’s a well worn beauty. Thinking French seams… or Flat fell. Open to suggestions!
Blue Under Dress- same linen as the over dress, and same problems. It has more wiggle room, so planning to take it apart and French seam it. I need to finish the sleeves (I cut them on the selvedge lol) and I’m thinking some silk facing to zhuzh it up
Saffron Dress- Where to begin… it’s too short to be an under dress, but too narrow to pull of a Rus-like over dress. Need to add gores at the side or front or somewhere, but I’m not sure if I have a matching linen… I could always complementary parti-color it? Blue, ofc
Black Under Dress- woefully has holes along the seams, and the sleeves are an…. odd length. Reinforce seams, add bands at the wrists? I have a lovely slate grey silk that might work, and wouldn’t risk clashing
Striped Under Dress- What is it with my linen dresses and their seams… I need to learn to do seam treatments from the get-go. New Goal! Also need to finish sleeves, cut on the selvedge again.
Green Under Dress- doesn’t necessarily need *fixing* as much as *work*. Ended up slightly too short, planning on using the remnants of the silk I used for the facing to add a couple of inches at the hem. This dress and the brown apron dress are one of my go-to outfits, so I want to feel especially pretty!
